Racing: General Discussion

Hospice Cup 9/17/2022
Author Last Post

Great race, fun time. Definitely worth doing if you are considering it. Painfully light air built slowly and turned into a nice sail by the last leg. Zane won the Donnybrook youth participation trophy. He calls it his chicken nugget tray. Lol I learned once again that upwind the tiny blade I use for comfortable cruising is just ok in any real wind upwind and keeps the heeling minimal, but downwind I need to start running in the spinnaker class or swap to a Genoa. We got walked pretty handily by pretty much everything downwind. Good times!

Just Registered. That makes three boats so I think we have a division. I will be racing with my 12 year old on this one. The 13 year old has had enough racing after Oxford.

Another fun race is the Hospice Cup. This year Hospice Cup celebrates 41 years of raising sails, funds, and awareness for hospice care. Participating hospices use funds raised through Hospice Cup to continue to offer quality end-of-life care to patients, their families, and friends.

$60 for early entries received by 1600 hours on Friday, 2 September, 2022.

I was able to get them to add at CHESSS division using PHRF TOT ratings. Please
