Horn Point Laboratory
Prof. North grew up on the Severn River and has lived near the Chesapeake Bay for most of her life. She holds a Ph.D. from U. of Maryland College Park in Marine-Estuarine-Environmental Science, specialization in fisheries science. She will address the health of the Bay.
Shawn Owen
Owner, Chronic Sailing, Annapolis
Chronic Sailing provides charters, lessons, boat deliveries and other captain services. Mr. Owen was a crew member on a trans-Atlantic leg of the Clipper Round the World Race in 2024 aboard a 70 foot high-performance yacht. He will talk about his experiences during the crossing.
