Hey CHESSS Mates, today (Wed, May 21) is the last reasonable day to register for the Annapolis to Miles River Race. After today you have to pay an additional $40 late fee.

CHESSS has three boats registered to sail non-spin: Doug Ellmore, Peter Dezendorf and John Z. Jeff Halpern is a maybe at this point.

Wx forecast is for lots of wind. I've already set up my boat with a small jib and reefed main in hopes of a more gentlemanly ride (and staying on the boat).

Please consider doing this race, it's been a while since we had a CHESSS start in the Miles River Race. No flopping around in the doldrums this time. It should be fun!

This race will be a blast!

After the race I plan to anchor somewhere in the Wye River. Maybe Shaw Bay if that is not too crowded.

I may head up there after dinner and a beer at the club. I'll keep an eye out for you Peter.
